Virtual roads to real recovery: simulator helps brain injury patients drive again

NCT ID NCT07378592

Summary

This study is testing whether using a driving simulator helps adults who have suffered brain injuries regain the skills and confidence needed to drive again. Researchers are comparing eight sessions of simulator training against traditional therapy to see which better prepares people for on-road driving. Participants will complete assessments before and after training, and all will eventually receive simulator sessions and be referred for real-world driving tests.
