Summary

This pilot study tests an 8-week program called DREAM that uses AI-powered text messages to encourage physical activity in adults with type 2 diabetes. Twenty participants will receive twice-weekly messaging and set weekly activity goals. The study focuses on whether the program is feasible and acceptable, not on curing diabetes.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
AI-based messaging program
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a simple, scalable way to help people with type 2 diabetes become more active and feel better.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (20 people) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. It may not show meaningful benefits or work for everyone.

This is an AI summary of the original study and may miss details. Read our disclaimer.
