First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether injecting doxycycline into fluid pockets (seromas) that form after joint replacement surgery can help them go away and not come back. Ten adults with seromas after orthopedic surgery will receive the injection and be followed with ultrasound. The goal is to see if this simple treatment can reduce the need for repeat drainage or additional surgery.
