Summary
This study tests whether the antibiotic doxycycline can prevent or slow the enlargement of heart arteries in children with Kawasaki disease. About 50 children with already enlarged coronary arteries will receive doxycycline for three weeks. Researchers will measure changes in artery size and blood markers to see if the drug blocks harmful immune system substances that cause artery damage.
