Milk bank vs formula: which helps babies breastfeed longer?

NCT ID NCT06315127

Summary

This study is comparing two ways to give extra nutrition to newborns who need it while in the hospital: pasteurized donor milk from a milk bank versus standard infant formula. Researchers want to see if using donor milk helps more mothers exclusively breastfeed their babies for longer, up to 4 months old. They will also check the babies' health, growth, and the parents' stress levels to see if one type of supplement is better.
