First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether having a friendly therapy dog in the room helps children aged 4 to 12 feel less afraid and behave better during dental treatment. Twenty kids with a history of dental fear each had two visits: one without a dog and one with a dog. Researchers compared their behavior using a standard scale to see if the dog made a difference.
