New study: does minimally invasive tube removal affect fertility?

NCT ID NCT07177144

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looked at 46 women who chose to have their fallopian tubes removed for permanent birth control. Researchers compared two surgical methods—one through the belly button and one through the vagina—to see if either method better preserved the ovaries' egg supply. They measured a hormone called AMH before and after surgery to check for any changes.
