NCT ID NCT07423143

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study aims to find out if removing the fallopian tubes at the time of hysterectomy leads to an earlier menopause. It includes 2,100 women under 55 who had a hysterectomy and were randomly assigned to have their tubes removed or not. Participants will collect a few drops of blood at home and answer an online questionnaire twice, one year apart. The results will help doctors understand the effects of this preventive surgery.
