Scientists to track if dental implants shift during healing

NCT ID NCT07297147

First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study will check if dental implants change position between when they are placed and when the final tooth is attached, about 3-4 months later. Researchers will take 3D scans of the mouth at both times and compare them to measure any movement. 100 adults who need a single implant will participate. The goal is to understand what factors might cause an implant to shift during healing.
