ICU superbug fight: hydrogen peroxide and UV light put to the test

Summary
This study tests whether adding hydrogen peroxide fogging or ultraviolet-C light to regular cleaning can lower infections and antibiotic use in intensive care units. About 5000 adult patients in 12 Brazilian ICUs will take part. Each ICU will try all three methods (standard cleaning, cleaning plus hydrogen peroxide, and cleaning plus UV light) in a random order to see which works best.
