Kidney shield: natural combo may protect cancer patients from chemo harm
NCT ID NCT07598214
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of diosmin and hesperidin (natural plant compounds) can prevent kidney damage caused by platinum-based chemotherapy in cancer patients. About 100 adults aged 18-75 receiving platinum chemotherapy will take the supplement or a placebo. The goal is to see if it keeps kidney function tests (like creatinine and blood urea) normal during treatment.
