First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether digoxin, a heart medication, could lower inflammation in people with severe alcohol-related hepatitis. 23 adults were randomly assigned to receive digoxin or no digoxin for up to 28 days. The study was stopped early, but researchers measured changes in inflammatory markers to see if digoxin might help control the disease.
