High-Tech splints take on jaw pain: which works better?
NCT ID NCT07566936
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether 3D-printed mouth splints are better than traditional ones for reducing jaw pain in people with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). About 120 adults with TMD will wear either a custom 3D-printed splint or a standard lab-made splint for 3 months. Researchers will measure changes in pain intensity, jaw movement, and daily function to see which type works best.
