First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study will develop and test a digital twin-haptic mixed reality simulation to teach nursing students how to manage pressure injuries (bedsores). About 130 second-year nursing students will be randomly assigned to either the new mixed reality simulation or a standard high-fidelity simulation. The goal is to see if the mixed reality approach improves students' knowledge, skills, and confidence in pressure injury care compared to traditional methods.
