Smart inhaler tested to help kids breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07500246

Summary

This study is testing whether a new digital inhaler with lights and reminders helps children with asthma take their daily steroid medication more consistently than a standard inhaler. Researchers will follow about 200 children aged 5-16 for 12 weeks to see if better medication use leads to improved asthma control. The study will also look for signs in children's bodies and their home environments that might help doctors better understand and predict asthma in the future.
