AI-Powered stethoscope could save newborns from missed heart defects

Summary
This study aims to create a computer program that can tell if a newborn's heart sounds are normal or abnormal using a digital stethoscope. Researchers will record heart sounds from 1,000 babies under 30 days old, some healthy and some with known heart disease, to train the program. Then they will test it on a new group of babies to see if it works better than current screening methods. If successful, this tool could help doctors find heart problems earlier and reduce unnecessary worry and costs.
