Could your diet be slowing you down? phosphate study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT05147909
Summary
This study aims to understand if the amount of phosphate in a typical American diet affects how well people exercise and their levels of deep belly fat. Researchers will have 124 healthy adults follow two different diets—one with high phosphate and one with low phosphate—for several weeks each. They will measure exercise capacity, muscle energy production, and body fat to see if lowering phosphate intake leads to improvements.
