First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at two different diets for overweight pregnant women who have gestational diabetes. One diet is moderately low in carbs, the other is high in plant-based protein with healthy Nordic foods. The goal is to see which diet helps control blood sugar better and leads to healthier body composition in newborns. 42 women participated, following each diet for short periods and receiving counseling to stick with the assigned plan until delivery.
