First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested seven different diets—including time-restricted eating, alternate-day fasting, and low-calorie plans—in 84 healthy adults aged 18-35 with normal weight. Researchers measured changes in visceral (belly) fat and other health markers over 4 weeks of dieting and a 28-week recovery period. The goal was to see which diet works best short-term and understand the body's responses through blood, urine, and stool samples.
