Could a simple food change protect vulnerable Kids' lungs?

NCT ID NCT07303868

Summary

This study is testing whether a special blended diet can reduce harmful bile acids in the stomachs of children who get most of their nutrition through a feeding tube. Researchers want to see if lowering these acids can help protect children from accidentally inhaling stomach contents into their lungs, a serious complication called aspiration. The study will compare two different blended diets and a special formula over several weeks in children aged 5 to 21.
