New device could help dialysis patients track fluid removal
NCT ID NCT07217470
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a new device called HemoCept could accurately measure fluid removal during dialysis treatments. Researchers enrolled 26 adults with end-stage kidney disease who had been on dialysis for at least 90 days. The study compared the device's readings with standard measurements of fluid weight changes to see if the technology works reliably.
