First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study followed 18 adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or other progressive lung scarring who had diarrhea after starting the drug nintedanib. The goal was to see how many could control their diarrhea (fewer than 3 loose stools per day) after 12 weeks while staying on the full drug dose. Researchers observed patients in regular clinic visits in Spain, without giving any new treatments.
