New MRI trick may spot brain tumor return vs. radiation scar

Summary
This study tests whether an extra MRI scan, taken after a delay, can better tell apart radiation damage from tumor regrowth in people with brain metastases who have had stereotactic radiosurgery. About 25 adults with solid tumors (except small cell lung cancer or lymphoma) will get the delayed MRI, and results will be checked against biopsies. The goal is to improve diagnosis and avoid unnecessary treatments.
