First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests a new antibiotic called contezolid acefosamil (given by IV or mouth) against an existing antibiotic, linezolid, for treating moderate to severe diabetic foot infections. About 865 adults with diabetes and a foot infection that started within the last 14 days will take the drug for 14 to 28 days. The goal is to see if the new drug works as well and is as safe as the current treatment.
