First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether a natural hormone called DHEA can help adults with COPD who also have high blood pressure in their lungs (pulmonary hypertension). 51 participants took either a low or high dose of DHEA daily for one year. The main goal was to see if DHEA improved how far they could walk in six minutes, along with checking heart and lung pressures.
