Anesthesia drug tested for hidden blood flow benefits during surgery
NCT ID NCT04946396
Summary
This study looked at whether a common anesthesia drug called dexmedetomidine improves blood flow in the body's smallest blood vessels during surgery. Researchers enrolled 64 adults having gallbladder removal surgery to test this. They used a special handheld camera to measure tiny blood vessel function under the tongue to see if the drug made a difference.
