Steroid shot for tooth pain? trial seeks relief

NCT ID NCT07233564

Summary

This study is testing if a steroid injection given near a painful tooth can reduce pain after a root canal procedure. It compares the steroid dexamethasone against a placebo (saltwater) injection in 44 adults with severe tooth nerve pain. The goal is to see if the local steroid is a safe and effective way to manage post-procedure discomfort.
