First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new form of the anti-inflammatory drug dexamethasone (dexamethasone palmitate) can better prevent moderate-to-severe pain after surgery compared to the standard version. About 446 adults having various surgeries will receive the drug before their operation. The goal is to see if it reduces pain and the need for opioid painkillers, with fewer side effects.
