Gum graft boosts dental implant repair after infection

Summary
This study tested whether adding a small piece of donated gum tissue (dermal matrix) during surgery for infected dental implants helps the gums heal better and look nicer. 48 adults with implant infections took part. The approach used a special cleaning device and then either standard surgery or surgery plus the extra gum tissue. The goal was to reduce bleeding, deep pockets, and gum recession.
