Sanding away scars: study tests new approach for cancer and trauma survivors
NCT ID NCT07233200
Summary
This study is testing whether a procedure called serial dermabrasion can safely improve the appearance of scars from reconstructive surgery. It will involve 40 adults who have had a skin flap reconstruction in the head or neck area, often after cancer or trauma. Doctors will treat only half of each scar to directly compare the results.
