Summary

This study looked at how depression in mothers affects their interactions with their babies and the child's development. Researchers observed 701 mothers and their infants at home and in a lab when the babies were 5, 12, and 24 months old. The goal was to understand differences in behavior and emotional responses between depressed and non-depressed mothers and their children.
