Tooth sealant study aims to lock out cavities in kids

NCT ID NCT07330089

Summary

This study aims to see if dental sealants—protective coatings painted on back teeth—stick better to completely healthy teeth versus teeth with the earliest signs of a cavity. Researchers will follow 420 children and teenagers for one year, checking the sealants every few months. The goal is to find the best strategy for using sealants to prevent cavities long-term.
