New study aims to ease dental pain for kids with chalky teeth

NCT ID NCT07352813

First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to numb teeth in children aged 6-12 who have Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH), a condition causing sensitive, chalky teeth. One method uses a computer-assisted injection into the bone, the other a standard gum injection. Researchers will measure pain, stress, and heart rate to see which works better.
