Summary
This study tested if taking ibuprofen and an enzyme called serratiopeptidase one hour before a standard dental numbing shot could make the shot work better for patients with severe, painful tooth infections. Researchers compared this two-pill combination against each pill alone and a placebo in 96 adults. The goal was to see if patients felt less pain during the start of their root canal procedure.
