Can a light treatment make dental implants safer?
NCT ID NCT06759870
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether treating dental implants with UV light can reduce the release of tiny titanium particles into the body. Titanium implants can corrode over time, which may cause inflammation or other problems. Researchers will measure titanium levels in 64 people right after implant surgery and again three months later to see if the UV-treated surface helps.
