Faster dental implants: new study tests shorter wait time
NCT ID NCT07484685
First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study compares placing a dental implant 4 months after tooth extraction versus the usual 6-month wait. About 40 adults needing a single tooth implant will be randomly assigned to one of the two waiting periods. Researchers will measure bone healing and implant stability using X-rays and other tests to see if the shorter wait is just as effective.
