Dental implant study: which graft works best for small bone gaps?

NCT ID NCT07501715

First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested two ways to fix small bone gaps (less than 3mm) around new dental implants in 44 adults. One method used a soft tissue graft from the patient's palate, the other used a bone-regeneration technique. Researchers checked tissue shape and bone levels 3 months after surgery and again 12 months after the final crown was placed.
