New magnesium membrane could revolutionize dental implants

Summary

This study tests a new, dissolvable magnesium membrane against a standard bone graft for dental implants placed right after tooth removal. The goal is to see which material better preserves the jawbone and improves the look of the gums. Twenty-four adults with failing front teeth will be followed for six months after surgery.
