Dental dilemma: save the implant or pull it out?
NCT ID NCT07435259
Summary
This study aims to help dentists decide whether to keep or remove dental implants in patients who develop a serious jaw bone condition (MRONJ) linked to certain osteoporosis and cancer medications. Researchers will follow 50 patients for one year to see if the amount of bone loss around the implant can be used as a clear guide for treatment. The main goal is to see which approach—keeping the implant or removing it—leads to better healing of the gums and less chance of the problem coming back.
