First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study followed 163 people who got dental implants between 1999 and 2005 to see how well the implants lasted and how satisfied patients were. Researchers checked for problems like infection around the implant (peri-implantitis) and measured bone loss. They also studied markers in saliva and gum fluid to understand what might predict complications. The goal was to identify risk factors and improve long-term implant care.
