Gentler cleaning for dental implants? study tests new powder

NCT ID NCT07140146

Summary

This study is comparing two different cleaning powders used during professional dental cleanings for people with early gum inflammation around their dental implants. Forty adults will have their implants cleaned with either a trehalose sugar powder or a standard glycine powder. Researchers will check over six months to see which powder is better at reducing plaque and inflammation while being gentler on the implant surface itself.
