Gum graft vs. collagen matrix: which builds better tissue around implants?

NCT ID NCT07324187

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at two methods to thicken gum tissue around single dental implants in the front of the mouth. Thirty-six adults received either a small piece of their own gum tissue (connective tissue graft) or a special collagen material. The goal was to see which approach worked better for improving gum thickness and appearance over time.
