Dental study tests if deeper implant placement saves jawbone

NCT ID NCT07468747

Summary

This study aims to find the best depth to place short dental implants to help preserve the surrounding jawbone. Researchers will compare placing the implant level with the bone crest versus placing it 2 mm deeper. They will measure bone changes and gum health over 12 months in 58 adults needing a single-tooth replacement.
