Common chemical tested to make dental fillings last longer

NCT ID NCT07196618

Summary

This study tests whether applying dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) before placing dental fillings makes them bond better to worn tooth surfaces. Researchers are working with 30 older patients who have non-cavity tooth wear to see if this pretreatment improves filling durability. The goal is to find better ways to restore teeth affected by age-related wear.
