Puppy power in the Dentist's chair: can dogs calm scared kids?

NCT ID NCT07448714

Summary

This study tested whether having a trained therapy dog present could help children who are fearful and uncooperative during dental visits. Twenty children aged 4 to 12, all with a history of dental anxiety, each had two dental appointments—one with a dog and one without. Researchers compared the children's behavior to see if the dog's presence made them calmer and more cooperative.
