Brain watch: new study tracks hidden stroke risk after aneurysm bleed
NCT ID NCT07305922
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study observes 200 adults who had a bleeding aneurysm and are now at risk for severe blood vessel narrowing (vasospasm) that can cause a delayed stroke. Researchers use ultrasound and other monitors to track changes in blood flow speed in the brain. The goal is to better understand when and why delayed strokes happen, not to test a new treatment.
