New pain block may speed recovery after belly surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether a Deep Rectus Sheath (Preperitoneal) block can improve pain control and recovery after abdominal surgery. About 60 adults having open or laparoscopic abdominal surgery will be observed. Their pain, recovery quality, and medication use will be compared based on the type of pain management they receive.
