Summary
This study is testing whether a special decision-making tool can help patients with severe diabetic foot problems feel less conflicted and more satisfied when facing the difficult choice of whether to have an amputation. Nurses will use the tool with one group of patients to explain treatment options and clarify personal values, while another group receives usual care. Researchers will then compare how confident, regretful, and satisfied patients in each group feel about their final decision.
