New vaccine trial hopes to boost immune attack on tough breast cancer
NCT ID NCT05504707
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests an experimental vaccine made from a patient's own immune cells (dendritic cells) that are trained to recognize HER2 and HER3 proteins. The vaccine is injected directly into the tumor along with standard chemotherapy before surgery. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and can help eliminate more cancer in people with early-stage triple-negative or hormone-receptor-low breast cancer. About 30 participants will take part.
