New therapy aims to help High-Risk veterans kick the habit
NCT ID NCT06687577
Summary
This study tested a new group therapy program designed to help veterans at high risk for suicide quit smoking. It combined standard quit-smoking counseling with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which teaches skills to manage difficult emotions. The goal was to see if this combined approach worked better than the usual quit-smoking treatment alone for this specific group.
